George A. McGowan, III brings his twenty years of practice experience to The Jayson Law Group LLC. With Mr. McGowan’s deep, varied expertise, smaller commercial clients of The Jayson Law Group gain access to an attorney that possesses knowledge gained from Fortune 500 companies.

A graduate with honors of Manhattan College and the Seton Hall University School of Law, Mr. McGowan began his career clerking for the Honorable Patrick J. McGann in the General Equity, Chancery Court of New Jersey. Following his clerkship, he served as an associate for two years as a general legal practitioner, handling matters of Corporate Law, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Criminal Defense, Matrimonial Law, Wills, Real Estate, Condominium Associations, Municipal Utilities, Employment Law and representation before the municipal court.

Mr. McGowan gained experience as a trial attorney for two nationally known insurance companies, arguing insurance claims, workers’ compensation claims, surety claims, as well as both personal injury and UM/UIM arbitrations.

Mr. McGowan went on to become an in-house counsel for several large corporations in a variety of industries including telecommunications, energy and construction law. In this capacity, he was responsible for critical projects ranging from creating wholly owned subsidiaries, to complex contract negotiations, filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), corporate restructuring and corporate governance. Mr. McGowan also worked for several startup companies and worked as consultant in providing structure to growing companies.

Prior to joining The Jayson Law Group, Mr. McGowan also served as a consultant to a military contractor and handled multiple vendor relationships for Information Technology vendors for a new data and telecommunications network provider.

He also possesses core competencies in such areas as Data Protection Law, Online Privacy Policies, Software Licensing and Website Terms of Use.
