Amritpal K. Deol is a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Florida and a holds a Juris Doctor degree from Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Deol served as an editor of the “Penn State Law Review” and became certified as a Miller Center for Public Interest Advocate for her work in public interest law and the impact on the lives of the communities served.

Upon completion of law school, Ms. Deol clerked for the Honorable James Fitzgerald, III in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Ms. Deol researched legal issues pertaining to civil procedure, criminal, and family law. She also assisted in drafting memoranda and court opinions.

As a New Jersey attorney with the Law Office of Veronica Davis, Ms. Deol worked on matrimonial law issues and represented clients in divorce proceedings and Early Settlement Panels Statements. Ms. Deol gained direct experience with pre-trial procedures, preparing and filing pleadings, motions, trials and appellate briefs as well as ESP Statements, as well as preparing and serving Subpoena Duces Tecum and Trial Subpoenas. She appeared in court for domestic violence hearings, divorce proceedings and case management conferences.

Currently, Ms. Deol works in the healthcare industry. She continues to assist her employer with the acquisition of medical billing companies, creating standard operating procedures, and working with clients/providers to discuss billing and EHR (“Electronic Health Record”) related concerns. Additionally, she focuses on researching government regulations, such as PQRS (“Physician Quality Reporting System”) and developing processes to assist client/providers to report/attest, obtain bonuses, and avoid penalties.

Ms. Deol has conducted presentations and webinars focusing on government regulations, compliance concerns regarding HIE/ HIPAA, Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”), more commonly known as “Obamacare,” as well as changes to the 2013 Physician Fee Schedule.

Fluent in English, and conversational in Punjabi and Hindi, Ms. Deol brings her knowledge and experience of family law, elder law, and healthcare compliance and regulation to The Jayson Law Group LLC.
